Fyusion's technology enables businesses to provide customers with a more engaging and detailed view of products and environments, ultimately driving better decision-making and improving customer satisfaction.

Freestyle Mode

An innovative solution to streamline the vehicle imaging process for dealerships and auction houses. By creating a new capture mode tailored for non-operable and tightly parked vehicles, it addressed significant operational challenges, resulting in increased imaging efficiency and substantial business growth for their clients. This examines the challenges, solutions, implementation steps, and the remarkable results achieved.

Challenges

Dealerships and auction houses faced several operational challenges:

  1. Vehicle Accessibility: Vehicles parked in gridlock required a Lot Boy approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to pull out for imaging or other purposes, creating significant inefficiencies.

  2. Non-Operable Vehicles: Vehicles that were non-operable, TRA (Towable, Repairable, As-Is), or designated for parts could not be easily imaged due to space constraints, preventing comprehensive condition reports and listings.

    • Conceptualized and executed product feature launch.

    • Collaborated with Design to create Freestyle tutorial for user education utilizing UX/ UI design principles. 

    • Conducted user research test to validate usability and design intuitiveness. ​

    • Prototyped iterations accordingly to market research, Voice of Customer interviews, usability tests, and first time user research.

    • Defined key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform decision-making.

    • Tracked project progress using KPIs and metrics, ensuring adherence to scope, time, and budget constraints.​

    • Identified and segmented target markets to tailor marketing strategies effectively.

    • Developed compelling product positioning and messaging to differentiate the product in the market.

    • Created and executed a comprehensive Go-to-Market strategy for product launches, including timing, channels, and promotional activities.

Solutions

  1. New Capture Mode: Developed a capture mode specifically designed for non-operable and TRA vehicles that did not require the typical 12-15 feet of walk-around space. This mode allowed for efficient 2D imaging even in constrained environments.

  2. Capture Tutorial: Created an intuitive capture tutorial, refined through extensive user testing, to ensure ease of use and quick adoption by concierges and dealers.

  3. Enhanced Image Management: Integrated additional features allowing users to include details such as damages, miscellaneous photos, tags, and videos in the vehicle image package for condition reports and listings.

Implementation

  1. Increased Imaging Capacity: Daily imaging capacity increased from 5,000 to 20,000 vehicles, allowing clients to manage and list inventory more efficiently.

  2. Revenue Growth: Manheim exceeded its annual revenue goals by 230%, contributing to Cox Automotive’s decision to acquire Fyusion.

  3. Time Efficiency: Reduced the listing time for non-operable and totaled vehicles by 90%, enabling faster sales cycles and improved inventory turnover.
